Word from the War Department telling them their son, Pvt. Albert J Enzweiler is missing in action in the African area, has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Clem J Enzweiler, Alexandria. The 21 year old soldier entered the service Nov 10, 1942 and had been employed on his father's farm prior to that time. He has been overseas six months and the family last heard from him July 7. A brother, Corp. Edward Enzweiler is in Sicily.

Besides his parents and brother, he has two other brothers, Clem Jr. and Leo Enzweiler, both of Alexandria and five sisters, Hilda, Helen, Florence, Mildred and Mary Lou.

The War Department announced Saturday the death of Pvt. Albert J Enzweiler, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Enzweiler, Alexandria, as "having been killed in action" in the North African war theater. Pvt. Enzweiler entered the armed forces Nov 10, 1942, and has been overseas for the last six months.

Besides his parents Pvt. Enzweiler is survived by three brothers, Corp. Edward, now in Sicily with the American Forces; Clem Jr. and Leo, both of Alexandria, and five sisters, Hilda, Helen, Florence, Mildred and Mary Lou.

Requiem high mass will be intoned and military rites held for Pvt. Albert John Enzweiler, who was killed in action in the battle for Sicily. The Rev Francis DeJaco will sing the mass Monday at 9 am in the St Mary Church, Alexandria.

Pvt. Enzweiler was killed on July 11, on the same day a telegram reported him to be seriously wounded. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clem J Enzweiler, Alexandria, received notice late last week of his death. He also leaves a brother, Corp. Edward Enzweiler, who is serving with Gen. Patton and four other brothers and sisters. He is the first to be killed of the 40 soldiers in the Army from the St Mary Parish. He was inducted in the Army in October 1942 and trained at Wheeler Ga.
