F A Wood and wife of 1075 Grand av. Newport, have received word of the safe arrival in France of their son, Sergeant Allen (sic) T Wood, formerly stationed at Ft Allen, Vermont. Sergeant Wood is a cavalryman.

The switch box of an auto owned by Allen T Wood, Elsmere, Ky. burned out and he left the car standing in front of a saloon at 12th and Wheeler st. Covington, near midnight Friday. When he came early Saturday to repair the machine, it was gone. That the auto had been towed away was Wood's belief.
