Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 pm for Adam Wetterhan, 86, tailor and Civil War veteran, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louis M Hall, 75 Rossford pl. Ft Thomas. Rev A J Hotz, pastor of St Paul Evangelical Church, Newport, will have charge. His body will be cremated in accordance with his wishes.

Wetterhan died Thursday after a two week illness. He retained his vigorous mentality almost to the last hour of his death. During the last few years he became greatly interested in poetry and composed a number of poems, all of them in his native tongue German. Wetterhan forsook Germany, his birthplace at the age of 11. When he grew to manhood he established a tailor shop in Cincinnati and operated it for many years. During the Civil War he served with distinction with the Union Army.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sophia Wetterhan; two sons, Robert H, farmer of Spring Lake, Ky; and Charles F, barber of 215 E Fourth st. Newport; three daughters, Mrs. William Racke of 46 Southgate av. Ft Thomas; Mrs. Edward Brauntz of 28 Hamlet st. Newport, and Mrs. Hall, with whom he resided. There are also 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
