Funeral services were held by the Newport Lodge of Elks and Douglas Lodge, KofP at the residence of Adam Smyrl, 329 Fairfield av. Bellevue, yesterday afternoon. The funeral took place from the residence at 2 pm this afternoon, Rev J N Ervin, pastor of the Dayton Presbyterian Church, officiating.
The pallbearers were Henry Tibbets, Clarence Johns, Gabriel Smyrl, G R Smyrl, and George Milligan. Those selected by the Elks were Judge R F Beyland, Senator C W Nagel, James Anspaugh and William Stoll. All are member of the "Old Guard" having served with the decedent in the Bellevue Council 30 years ago. The K of P pallbearers were Charles Frommel, George E Platts, Frank Schumate and John Kettenacker.
Burial was in the family lot at Evergreen
Cemetery.
