Alexandria Court Order Book 5, page 8, 26 September 1842

On Motion of Charles Dicken, it is ordered that Thomas Logan, Adam Miller, Jacob Carnes and Charles Clinkenbeard or any three of them being first duly sworn be appointed viewers to view and mark out a way for a road from A Miller's line in the road from Alexandria to Washington trace to intersect a road from Pendleton County in said Dickens land and report to court the conveniences and inconveniences arising as well to the publick as to individuals.

On Motion of Edward P Ball, Adam Miller, Charles Huddleston, Charles Dicken and Thomas Logan, Esqr. or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to view and amendment to the road leading from the Weslian Chapel to the crossing of 12 Mile Creek and report to Court.
