NEWPORT
Jake Miller, an uncle of Adam Fliehmann, who was found dead in
his home on Monmouth street where he lived alone, came forward yesterday and
established his right as an heir. Fleihmann's brother is supposed to have been
killed in a wreck so that Miller will probably inherit the estate.
Coroner Digby yesterday searched the wretched hovel that Fliehmann called home and found the deed for the property in which he lived, together with insurance papers calling for $300? on the house. What surprised the Coroner most was, that in the midst of all the filth and rubbish, Dr. Digby located a chest full of finely laundered and immaculate linens, table spreads, fine shirts and other articles. They had evidently lain untouched for years.
Coroner Digby returned a verdict of death, caused by exposure, super induced by pneumonia.
