Lately the second engineer, Adam Bowers, of the General Scott, who owned the Newport ferry landing grocery, was found dead in his bed in one of the staterooms of said boat.
The Scott was on her trip up from New Orleans and arrived here yesterday. No cause of this sudden death in known.
