In the month of October 1833, Abram Parker personally appeared before Stacey Reeves, Justice of the Peace being first duly sworn according to law, stated and swore that he had enlisted as a substitute for his father John Parker to serve in the company under the command of Captain Manur Mount in the month of May.

William Abram Parker was placed on the pension roll but before he drew, he died and his children proved they were his although there was no widow of the said pensioner.

The following is a letter concerning the said claim;
Sir: About two weeks since, the Commissioner of Pensions enclosed to me a pension certificate in favor of Abraham Parker, and I have made inquiries and do not hear of such a man. His declaration for pension was not certified. Therefore there must be some mistake in the directions, and I thought it advisable to return the documents to you.

Sir: In reply to your letter respecting the cases of Abram
Parker, I have to inform you that the children of the deceased who live in your
neighborhood can draw their proportion of amount due and no more. The rules in
relation to the time.
