NEWPORT
William Belford, a colored individual, was fined $5 and costs in
the Police Court yesterday morning. He claims that he went to his home and
tried to get in but without avail. He afterward understood that his wife
and a colored man named Dixon had been together.
In the Police Court after he was fined, he
swore out a warrant for his wife, Laura Belford and Dixon charging them with
adultery.
