Edward Gee
Thomas Edward Gee was born 13 February 1894 in Newport, the son of William Gee and Ida L Washington. He served in World War I from Sep 8, 1918 to June 1919, and was discharged without disability 17 June 1919. He served as a Corporal overseas in France in Co G 1 Prov Regiment Infantry to July 1, 1918; Co B 801 Pioneer Infantry to Aug 10, 1918; Co F 801 Pioneer Infantry to discharge; He became a Corporal May 11, 1918, and Sergeant until his discharge.
He died 30 March 1959 in Cincinnati and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Fire originating from an overheated flue partially destroyed the home of Thomas E Gee, at 612 Robert st. in Newport Saturday morning and caused a loss of about $300. The flame had gained considerable headway when the Fire Department arrived and the department had quite a brisk fire to fight.
