NEWPORT
Raymond Carr, a diminutive colored boy, was
arrested last night by Special Bridge Officer Stricker on the Central Bridge and
locked up on a charge of disorderly conduct. Carr is a member of a gang of
juvenile thieves who have been systematically robbing farmers wagons of produce
as they passed through the city.
