Philip Watson, the colored man who murdered his wife by braining her, will expiate his crime on the scaffold tomorrow afternoon. The time has not yet been fixed by Sheriff Lowe, who is to perform the unpleasant duty, with the assistance of Jailer Schwartz of Newport.

The scaffold is now ready and this evening will be placed in the southeastern portion of the Court yard, where the execution will take place.
