Cincinnati Commercial Tribune, Sunday, 15 June 1884, page 10
Mark Nudder, a young colored man, twenty-eight years of age and employed at the residence of Joseph J Gest, on the Licking pike about a mile south of Newport, attempted to drive an unruly bull into the stable yesterday and during the excitement suddenly dropped dead.
Coroner Dameron was notified and ordered a post mortem which was held by Dr. Phythian and Bennett and disclosed the fact the man came to his death from heart disease. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the facts.
