NEWPORT


The bridge watchman, Smith, arrested a colored woman names Lottie Burns, yesterday morning.  She and another colored woman, it is said, were fighting at a house on the corner of Eglantine and Saratoga streets, when the other colored damsel drew a bowie knife and Burns raised a brick with hostile intentions.

NEWPORT

LOTTIE BURNS, colored for hitting a damsel of the like hue named Lottie Franklin with a brick, was fined $5 and costs by Squire Buchanan yesterday. The is the fluxie of the "Can-Can" as danced at the Bailey Barracks the day before.
