William Carter, colored, was arrested Thursday night in Newport,
charge with disorderly conduct. He became involved in a fight with Lizzie
Craig, his wife's cousin, striking her a terrible blow. Dr. Clark was
summoned and discovered that the woman's collar bone was broken as a result of
the blow.
