Arrest of four Negroes Saturday night by Covington and Newport police is believed to have cleared up the robbery of E Z Credit Clothing co. 704 Monmouth st. Newport. The Negroes registered as Sidney Vonshine, 19, of 219 W Fourth st. Larken Payne, 16, of 215W Fourth st. and William Dudley, 16, of Dayton st. all of Newport and Milton Jones, 23, of 110 W 11th st. Covington. All are charge with burglary.

Jones told police the quartet used Vonshine's auto in the robbery. When questioned by police, Vonshine, Payne and Dudley steadfastly denied taking part in the robbery. Jones, in his confession, said they stole two women's suits, 15 men's suits, five dresses, 10 overcoats and one sheepskin coat.

Henry Cohane, owner of the E Z Credit Clothing Co. told Newport police at the time of the robbery that the thieves took 14 fur coats, 38 cloth coats, 60 suits, 50 dresses, 32 overcoats and 30 children's coats with a total value of $12,000. So far the police have recovered only the three suits Jones took to the dry cleaner.
