NEWPORT
Archie Turner, colored, was brought to Newport from Cincinnati yesterday by Lieutenant Leahey and locked upon the charge of murder. Turner was arrested by the Cincinnati police.
It is alleged that Turner assaulted Johnston Talley, also colored, with a shovel during a quarrel that occurred on a towboat near Dayton Ky. on which both were employed as roustabouts.
Talley died as a result of his injuries.
