Henry Sansberry
John Henry Sansberry was born 15 Dec 1892 in Newport, the son of William Sansbury and Charlotte Fowler. He served was drafted into the Army and sent to Camp Zachary Taylor Camp 31 Mar 1918. He departed Hoboken New Jersey 8 May 1918 on the ship America as a Private in Company B 515th Engineers Service Battalion Colored and served overseas in World War I. He was discharged 15 July 1919.
John died 16 August 1926 at 429 W 4th in Newport of an internal hemorrhage and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery 19 Aug.
