BAD FALL

James Carr, a colored boy, of 138 West Fourth Street, Newport, will be laid up in bed for some time as a result of his heroic effort to climb on the old Fourth Street Bridge. He was on the Covington side Saturday night and attempted to climb up the rails beyond the collector's office, when he fell.

James Redmond heard the groans of the boy and the patrol took him home. His body was bruised and his face was cut.
