STEALING

Harry Kennedy is only 10 in years, but he is off to a flying start yesterday in the criminal line, when he tried his hand at horse stealing. The youngster is a negro lad and he wanted to raise funds for a sick uncle in Latonia, so he stated, when Patrolman Paul Flynn of Newport, came across him leading a horse belonging to George Simlich, of West Eleventh st. The horse was taken from Simlich's barn yesterday and he reported the matter to police.

Kennedy was up before Judge Moore of Campbell co. Juvenile Court today, and on the plea of his father, who is a hard working man of good reputation, the Court placed the boy on probation on promise of his father to keep him from further wrong doing.
