George William Ozier
 

George William Ozier was born 25 May 1895 in Newport, the son of George William Sr. and Mary. He enlisted in the Army 30 Mar 1918 and served overseas until  he was discharged 9 May 1919, mustering out as a Corporal. He married Cynthia. He died 20 Oct 1978 in Cincinnati and was buried in Evergreen.

George William Ozier, 7, Negro, 616 Roberts st. Newport, was the latest fatality blamed on the heat wave. The child drowned in the Licking River Saturday. Efforts of the Newport Lifesaving Squad to revive the boy failed after his body had been recovered by Ben Stith, Cincinnati. The boy's father is an employee of the Newport post office.
