Hearing of a malicious cutting charge against Evelyn Johnson Negro, 26, 520 Isabella st. Newport, arrested Wednesday night after she is alleged to have stabbed James Wyrick, 22, soldier, stationed at the Ft Thomas Military Post, was continued Thursday by Judge Maybury in Newport Police Court until Friday.

Wyrick and another Ft Thomas soldier registered as Dallas Thompson, 21, were charged with disorderly conduct and their cases were also passed until Friday. Police went to Chestnut and Isabella streets after receiving a report of a free for all fight between the two soldiers and Negroes. When they arrived they found the three defendants. Wyrick had been stabbed in the chest and after being treated at Speers Hospital he was lodged in jail.
