James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 20236.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Charles Morgan, assee of Joseph Smith, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing six hundred and thirty five acres by Survey bearing date the 15th day of June 1798 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the Lick fork of Phillips Creek and bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at a white (word left out) in or near a line of George Carrington's Survey of 3335 3/4 Acres and running with a line thereof and Continuing the Same Course South fifty degrees west in all four hundred and Sixty five Poles Crossing said Creek Several times to two Sugar trees; thence North fifty nine degrees west one hundred and fifty eight Poles to a white Oak and Hickory; thence north thirty one degrees East four hundred and forty Poles ?? white oak on a hill side near the Lick fork; thence South fifty nine degrees East three hundred and eight Poles Crossing said fork to the Beginning on the twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven and hundred and ninety-nine.

James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 20,236.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Charles Morgan, assee of Joseph Smith, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing one thousand thirteen and half acres by Survey bearing date the 3rd day of July 1798 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the waters of Phillips Creek and bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at a sugar tree on the side of a branch that empties into the North or main fork of Phillips Creek in a line of Armsted Churchill's Survey and running with said line South fifty nine degrees East three hundred and eighty two Poles to a white oak and sugar tree; thence South thirty one degrees West four hundred and twenty four and a half poles to two Sugar trees; thence North fifty nine degrees west three hundred and eighty two Poles to a sugar tree and Dogwood in a line of Jacob Rubsaman's survey; thence North thirty one degrees East four hundred and twenty four and one half Poles to the Beginning on the twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and ninety nine.

James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 20,236.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Joseph Smith, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing seven hundred acres by Survey bearing date the 30th day of March 1798 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the waters of Licking and the main fork of Phillips Creek and bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at a Small Sugar tree between two ashes a Sugar tree, three Beech, one Elm and a black Gum at the intersection of a line of Armstead Churchill's second Survey with a line of Jacob Rubsaman's Survey and running with a line of said Churchill's survey South fifty nine degrees East Passing his corner and Continuing in all five hundred and twenty Seven and half Poles to four Sugar trees on the Side of a hill; thence South thirty one degrees west four hundred and twenty four Ninth Poles to a white oak and Dogwood in said Rubsamans line; thence with the same North twenty degrees West Six hundred and Seventy Seven poles to the Beginning on the Twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Nine.

James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 20,236.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Charles Morgan, assee of Joseph Smith, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing six hundred fifty one and a half Acres by Survey bearing date the 16th day of June 1798 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the waters of Wells and Phillips Creek and bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at a Sugar tree and Hickory in a line of Armstead Churchill's first survey on the waters of Wells Creek and running with a line thereof South thirty one degrees west three hundred and thirty five and three fourths Poles Passing said Churchill corner to a red oak and Hickory; thence North fifty nine degrees west three hundred and twenty Poles to a Buckeye and Sugar tree; thence North thirty one degrees East three hundred and twenty five and three fourth poles to a white oak and Sugar tree; thence South fifty nine degrees East three hundred and twenty Poles to the Beginning on the twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Nine.
