James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 11,398. There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto John Grant, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing eleven hundred and twenty eight and a half Acres by Survey bearing date the 10th day of October 1797 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the waters of the Licking and bounded as followeth to wit.
Beginning on the main right hand fork of Phillips Creek sixty poles below the old trace leading from Roberts Ferry to the widow Stephens; thence East two hundred and twenty poles to a white Oak; thence North four hundred and thirty three poles to two white Oaks; thence West four hundred and forty poles to two white oaks & Dogwood; thence South four hundred and thirty three poles to three white Oaks; thence East to the Beginning on the tenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight.
Executed and delivered to the owner the 17th November 1798
