Elizabeth (Hayes) Walden
Elizabeth (Hayes) Walden, 96, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers in Beech Grove. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
She was born May 30, 1904, in Columbus. Her parents were George and Katherine (Linson) Hayes. She married Laurel F. Walden. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Louise Rooze of Indianapolis; two daughters-in-law, Anna Walden and Rosella Walden, both of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Woods; and two sons, Albert Walden and Ralph Walden.
She was a seamstress at Hinchman’s Co. in Indianapolis for 17 years, sewing racing uniforms. She retired in 1967.
The Rev. Donald Walden will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
