BARGERSVILLE.

The following notice which is taken from the Kokomo Dispatch of Dec. 16, refers to the death of a former well known resident of Hensley township:

Mrs. Susan Taylor, wife of City Marshal Ross Taylor, died last night at 9:30 o’clock at her home on West Jefferson Street. She had been an invalid for the past four or five years, but her fatal illness dates back to last spring when she suffered an attack of the grip which affected the lungs, and slowly but surely her vitality gave way until death came as a soothing balm to relieve her of her suffering. She was a patient sufferer and bore her affliction with the fortitude and patience of one resigned to the will of Him whom the Good Book tells us doeth all things well. She became a member of the Christian church at the age of sixteen and faithfully discharged every duty assigned her and was an indefatigable church worker until illness prevented.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ashley, was born May 20, 1862, and was united in marriage to Ross Taylor in 1885. To him she was a dutiful and affectionate wife, sharing his happiness and also sharing his sorrow. No sacrifice was too great for her to make to add to the cheerfulness and comfort of others and especially was this true as to the family circle, which consisted of her husband and one daughter, Florence, a bright girl twelve years old. While the end has been expected daily for several weeks, the blow to Mr. Taylor, the daughter and the brothers of the deceased, was none the less hard to bear. The family is broken, the once bright and cheerful home is now shrouded in sorrow, and the good counsel of a devoted wife and a confiding sister will be missed.

The funeral will occur Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Christian church, services conducted by the pastor, Rev. Floyd; interment at Crown Point cemetery.
