Hugh Ervin ’Brother’ Naylor

Hugh Ervin ÒBrotherÓ Naylor, 66, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at his residence in Indianapolis.

He was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Winston-Salem, N.C. His parents were Benjamin F. and Sarah M. (Wooten) Naylor. He married Janet (Winkelmeier) Naylor on April 2, 1977, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Tammy Hollingsworth and Leeann Smith, both of Indianapolis, and Leigh Ann Bartlett of Greenwood; three brothers, Lewis Naylor of Virginia, Walter Naylor of Tennessee and Burley Naylor of North Carolina; two sisters, Roberta Jones of North Carolina and Ella "Pauline" Wood of Virginia; and six grandchildren.

He was co-owner and professional photographer for Vernon Studio until in 1975. He then worked at the Typo Printing Co. before retiring in 1982.

He attended Friedens United Church of Christ in Indianapolis. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting. He was an entrepreneur.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

The Rev. Marc Hayden will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1:30 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
