Alfred ’Bud’ McCreary Jr.

Alfred "Bud" McCreary Jr. 78, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers in Beech Grove. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born March 20, 1924, in Indianapolis. His parents were Alfred McCreary Sr. and Lillie Mae (Denny) McCreary. Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia L. Fee of Franklin and Penny K. Brown of Indianapolis; two sons, Jeffrey S. McCreary of Texas and Scott R. McCreary of Indianapolis; a brother, William F. McCreary of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was employed as a printer for 17 years at Flint Ink Co. in Indianapolis. He was co-owner and bartender for 15 years at Sol & Bud’s 340 Bar. He also tended bar at Oak ’N Bucket for three years.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

The Rev. Mike Tinkler will conduct a service at 10 a.m. today at Legacy Funeral Alternatives at Memorial Park. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
