Malcolm Earl "Bill" Lowes

Malcolm Earl "Bill" Lowes, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006. He was a
resident of Indianapolis.
Bill was born Feb. 25, 1924, to the late James M. and Ceacle M. Berry Lowes.

He was a retired tool room machinist, working for 31 years at Western Electric.
He retired Aug. 13, 1983.

He was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church, Marion County Farm Bureau, Lucent
Telephone Pioneers and 4-H Club and was involved in Franklin Township community
activities. He loved farming, family gatherings, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice L. (Outcalt) Lowes of Indianapolis, whom he
married June 15, 1947; three daughters, Mary E. Tolle and Marcia E. Lowes, both
of Indianapolis, and Effie Marie Hogue of Whiteland; a brother, Charles Robert
Lowes of Indianapolis; a sister, Doris M. Bade of Indianapolis; five
grandchildren, Donna M. Cook, Robert E. Tolle, Ryan K. Lowes, Jessica L. Kersey
and Larissa N. Lowes; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James A. Lowes; and
grandparents, James A. and Effie M. Berry.

The Revs. Jon Jacobs, John Ray and Glen Lockwood will officiate a service at 2
p.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Stirling Gerber Chapel,
5950 E. Thompson Road in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today
at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Acton Cemetery.
