Mary A. Johnson, mother of R. M. Johnson of Washington, D. C., died Tuesday morning at her home near Edinburg.

Note: Indiana State Library Genealogy Database; Marriages through 1850 records that Peter Johnson married Mary Ann McKinney in Bartholomew County, Indiana. There is no date on this record but it probably was about 1844 as the 1850 US Federal Census for Nineveh, Bartholomew County, Indiana records thirty-nine-year-old, Ohio-born Peter Johnson, his thirty-three-year-old, Indiana-born wife Mary Ann [McKinney] Johnson and their Indiana-born children, five-year-old Richard M. and one-year old Alford B. Johnson. Although they are living in Bartholomew County from 1850 to 1880, their post office is in Edinburg, Johnson County.
