Carl J. Hart

Carl J. Hart, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at Roudebush Veterans Affairs
Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Pulaski County, Ky. His parents were Luther and
Rissie (Acton) Hart. He married Mary L. (Sullivan) Hart on Nov. 6, 1942. She
survives.

Other survivors include three sons, C. William (Bev) Hart of Greenwood, Charles
(Cindy) Hart of Kent, Wash., and Frank Hart of Live Oak, Fla.; a daughter, Mary
Ruth (Russell) Deer of Indianapolis; a brother, Charles Hart of Indianapolis;
two sisters, Maxine Kemble of Smith Grove, Ky., and Geri Phillips of Maryland;
13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two
brothers.

He was employed for 40 years by Ace Battery & Salvage in sales.

He was a member of Rocklane Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars and
American Legion in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

The Rev. Rob Keaton will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St.
Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Friends
may call from 4 to

8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery.
