Chestine P. (Potter) Cooper

  Chestine P. (Potter) Cooper, 84,
died Monday, June 3, 2002, at her
residence in Indianapolis.
  She was born Aug. 8, 1917, in
Lawrence County, Ill. Her parents
were William F. and Mable A.
(Warren) Potter. She married
Brainard F. "Bud" Cooper. He
preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1988.
Survivors include a son, Stephen F.
Cooper of Prescott, Ariz.; three
daughters, Jane Robbins of
Fairland, Mary Jo Parsons of
Waldron and Kathleen Tenney of
Hayward, Wis.; a sister, Dorothy
Allman of Marion; 10 grandchildren;
26 great-grandchildren; and 10
great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of
First Baptist Church of Greenwood.
  A service will be conducted at 11
a.m. Friday at Singleton Community
Mortuary and Memorial Center in
Indianapolis. Friends may call from
4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the
mortuary. Burial will be at
Washington Park East Cemetery in
Indianapolis.
