George W. Clemmer received a telegram Saturday evening announcing the death, at Independence, Kans., of his brother, J. C. Clemmer, who moved from this county to that place in 1872. His death occurred Saturday morning after an illness of several months.

Mr. John Clemmer, 58 years old, an old and well known resident of this county, died at 3 o'clock this morning at his home five miles west of town. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at White Post at 11 o’clock tomorrow and the burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery.
