OBITUARY.

Arsula [sic] Wright died of consumption at her home in Whiteland about 4 o’clock, Saturday evening, December 26th, 1891, aged 20 years and 24 days. She united with the Presbyterian church at that place about four years ago and has ever since been a faithful member. She was always kind and affectionate to all her friends and her bright face will long be remembered by those who knew her. For more than two years she has been a great sufferer, but her sufferings are now over for she dwells with the Lord where no sickness, pain nor death can mar the peace He has prepared for His children. “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.”

No more will her gentle voice be heard; no more will her form cross the threshold of your home. She cannot come to us but we can go to her. Although Sula is no more with us, may we recognize none other than the hand of an all-wise Creator in this our bereavement, and at last when we, too, pass over may we hear the glad words “well done, enter thou in.”

She leaves father and mother, brothers and sisters, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. “But our loss is her eternal gain.” May each member of this family be so guided and directed that they may form an unbroken family circle around the throne of God, there to sing His praise forever.

The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Burt, took place at the Presbyterian church Monday morning, Dec. 28th, and was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. With the blue sky above and the weeping kindred beside the grave, her body was laid to rest in the Hopewell cemetery, there to wait the final resurrection of those asleep in Jesus.
