Mrs. Thomas P. Wood, of Whiteland, died suddenly of Bright’s disease on Saturday night of last week. She had just returned from a birthday anni­versary held at the home of a married daughter and was in her usual health during the day. She was fifty-five years of age and leaves a husband and three children. The funeral took place on Monday from the Hurricane Methodist church. Rev. C. W. Tinsley, of this city, conducted the service.

Mrs. Corley [sic] Wood, wife of T. P. Wood, died suddenly Saturday night at her home in this place, aged 54 years. The funeral sermon was preached in the Presbyterian church here by Rev. C. W. Tinsley, of Franklin, and her remains were buried at Hurricane. Mrs. Wood was a member in good standing in the Hurricane Baptist church.
