EDINBURG. Oct 9 — Mrs. Mary B. Wirey, age 81, mother of Mrs. Ben Keaton of Franklin, died Saturday at her home in Edinburg following a long illness. She was the widow of Michael Wirey and had lived in Edinburg 41 years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Edinburg Christian church and burial will be made in Rest Haven cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the home and to attend the services.

Mrs. Wirey was born Nov. 28, 1862 in Brown county, the daughter of John and Sally Anderson Coy. Her father, a Union soldier, was killed in the Civil War be­fore she was born. He is buried in a Tennessee military cemetery. On March 16, 1882, she was united in marriage to Michael Wirey, who preceded her in death 22 years ago.

Surviving are five children. Mrs. Cora Galey, Orphia Wirey and Mrs. Ben Keaton of Franklin and Pren­tice Wirey, A. A. A. 1 c. U.S.N., Pat­uxent River, Md., who with his family arrived Monday to attend the ser­vices. Nine grandchildren and two great grand­children survive. Mrs. Wirey was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Wirey was a member of the Edinburg Christian church.
