Mrs. H. C. Winchester
Word was received in Iola this morning of the death at her home in Carlyle township of Mrs. H. C. Winchester. It will be remembered that Mr. Winchester died only about a month ago and it is presumed that the faithful wife’s death is due in a measure to the loss of her husband. Mrs. Winchester was nearly seventy years old and had resided in Carlyle township almost since the war. She was a good, Christian woman, a loving wife and mother and an esteemed neighbor. Mrs. Winchester was a sister of Mr. John Vannuys of Iola. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock Friday morning from the home.
