FUNERAL THURSDAY

EDINBURGH — Funeral service for Linda Dee Wilhite, 48, of Route 2, will be conducted by the Rev. Edgar Schaumback at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and burial will be at St. George Lutheran Church Cemetery east of Edinburgh.

Mrs. Wilhite died Tuesday morning at her home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1937, the daughter of Carl and Mary Ping Kabrich of Route 3. She was married to Darrel G. Wilhite March 8, 1958, and he survives.

Mrs. Wilhite was a member of St. George Lutheran Church and Buzzin’ Duzzin’ Extension Homemakers Club. She was a former Shelby County 4-H leader and former secretary of Double Y Saddle Club in Edinburgh. A graduate of Mount Auburn High School in 1955 and Indiana Business College, she had been employed by Johnson Abstract Co.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sue Urban of Terre Haute and Sandra Dee Wilhite of Franklin; and two brothers, David Kabrich of Edinburgh and Thomas Kabrich of Francesville.

She was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Johnson County to Carl and Mary (Ping) Kabrich.

She graduated from Mount Auburn High School, Shelby County, in 1955, and Indiana Business College in Columbus.

She worked for Johnson Abstract Co., Columbus, until 1980 when she retired.

She was a member of St. George Lutheran Church, Shelby County, and a member and former secretary of Double Y Saddle Club, Edinburgh. She was a former Shelby County 4-H leader and a member of Buzzin’ Duzzin’ Home Economics Club.

She is survived by her parents, who live at Edinburgh route three; her husband, Darrell G. Wilhite, whom she married March 8, 1958; two daughters, Sue Urban, Terre Haute, and Sandra Dee Wilhite, a senior at Franklin College, and two brothers, David Kabrich, Edinburgh, and Thomas Kabrich, Francisville.

Dr. James Peters, Shelby County Coroner, ruled death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Mrs. Wilhite died Tuesday morning from a gunshot wound, which was apparently self-inflicted.

A graduate of Indiana Business College, Mrs. Wilhite had been employed by the Johnson County Abstract Company. She was a member of the St. George Lutheran Church, a former secretary of the YY Saddle Club, a Shelby County 4-H club leader and member of the Buzzin Duzzin Home Extension Club.

A daughter of Carl and Mary (Ping) Kabrich, she was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Johnson County. She was married March 8, 1958, to Darrell G. Wilhite, who survives.

Also surviving are her parents, Edinburgh; daughters, Sue Urban, Terre Haute, and Sandra Dee Wilhite, Franklin College; and brothers, David Kabrich, Edinburgh, and Thomas Kabrich, Francesville.
