GERRY E. WICHMAN Sr.

Gerry E. Wichman Sr., 61, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, in Greenwood. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Grosse Pointe, Mich. His parents were Albert and Evelyn (Starrett) Wichman. He was married to Diane L. (Ecoff) Wichman for six years. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Gerry E. Wichman Jr. of Fairland and Michael S. Wichman of Los Angeles; two stepdaughters, Heather Mustin and Holly Puckett; two brothers, Marc Wichman and Barry Wichman, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; one grandson; and four stepgrandchildren.

He graduated from Florida State University in 1966 with a master’s degree in economics and finance. He later completed his doctorate degree.

He was employed by Huntington Bank as vice president of commercial real estate. He was previously employed by Valdosta State College as a professor of business and economics, by Foremost Insurance Co. as assistant to the president and by Union Federal Savings and Loan as vice president. He also developed several real estate projects in central Indiana.

He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma business fraternity.

He enjoyed nature and travel.

Services are private. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Little & Sons Stop 11 Road Chapel, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis. Burial will be at London Cemetery in Fairland. A celebration of life ceremony will be conducted at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or American Heart Association, Indiana Chapter.
