FUNERAL SATURDAY
         FOR MRS. WHISMAN

Mrs. Frank Whisman, 31, of Mos-
        cow, Dies at Home of
         Mother In This City.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Nor-
ma Whisman. 31, wife of Frank
Whisman, of Moscow, Rush coun-
ty, who died at 8:00 o’clock
Thursday night at the home of
her mother, Mrs. Grace Smith,
833 south Noble street will be
held at 2 o’clock Saturday after-
noon at the home of her sister,
Mrs. Mildred McIntyre, 145 First
street.
    The Rev. J. C. Klingeberger,
pastor of the First Evangelical
church, will officiate, assisted by
the Rev. Marcellus Crider, pastor
of the Nazarene church. Burial
will be in Forest Hill cemetery in
charge of Loren H. Murphy.
Friends may call at the sister’s
home after 7:00 o’clock tonight.
    Born Jan. 16, 1911, at Louis-
ville, Ky., Mrs. Whisman was the
daughter of Sidney and Grace
(Brickey) Smith. When a young
girl she moved to this city with
her parents. She attended the
local schools, including high
school. On June 11, 1939, her
marriage to Frank Whisman, of
Rush county took place. Mrs.
Whisman was a member of the St.
Luke’s Evangelical church at
Louisville, Ky.
    Surviving, besides the husband
and mother, are two sisters, Mrs.
Mildred Mclntyre and Mrs. Irma
Burton, of Shelbyvllie; and two
brothers, Charles Smith, of east of
the city, and Sidney Smith, Jr.,
of this city. Her father was killed
March 10, 1942, in an automobile
accident at New Bethel. Her
grandmother, Mrs. Rosa Brickey,
died at the Smith home on
Christmas night, 1942.
