JACK WARDER, JR.
Jack Warder Jr., 78, Edinburgh, who has relatives in Shelbyville, died Monday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Born May 27, 1922, in Johnson County, he was the son of Jackson and Carrie (Redmond) Warder. On Oct. 26, 1944, he married Rosemarie (Williams) Warder, and she survives.
Mr. Warder was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
He was a graduate of Mount Auburn High School and a member of St. George Lutheran Church, Edinburgh American Legion 233 and Masonic Lodge 100.
Mr. Warder was self-employed as a milk hauler and farmer. He retired in 1983, after hauling milk for 30 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Flater, Franklin; one brother, James F. Warder, Mount Auburn; one grandson; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. George Lutheran Church with the Rev. Edward Boone officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Lutheran Church.

Jack Warder Jr., 78, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Edinburgh.
He was born May 27, 1922, in Johnson County. His parents were Jackson and Carrie (Redmond) Warder. He married Rosemarie Williams on Oct. 26, 1944. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Flater of Franklin; a brother, James F. Warder of Mount Auburn; a grandson, Tim Flater of Franklin; two great-grandsons, and a niece. He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald "Gary" Warder, and a brother, Billie Warder.
He was a graduate of Mount Auburn High School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Pastor Edward Boone will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. George Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, and from 1:30 p.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
