Found Dead in Bed.

Mrs. Kate Voris [sic], aged 70 years, was found dead in her bed Wednesday morning at the home of her step-daughter, Mrs. Ned Vannuys, of Hope­well. She has resided for a number of years on West Madison St. Tuesday she rode out to Mr. Vannuys’ and retired that night in her usual good health. When Mrs. Vannuys went to call her in the morning she was found dead. She was a member of the Hopewell church where funeral services were held yes­terday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. J. H. Bright. Deceased was a widow of the late Andrew Voris

The undersigned, Coroner of Johnson County, Indiana, did on the 30th day of June, 1897, hold an inquest on the body of Catherine Voris, late of Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana, found dead at the house of James R. Vannuys, in Franklin Township, in said county on the 30th day of June 1897.

Having viewed the body and heard the testimony of witnesses, I find that the deceased came to her death by reason of paralysis of the heart.

Deceased was 64 years old; about 6 ft. high. No valuables found on body.
