Mrs. John T. Vawter, after a long ill­ness, died Monday morning at Vawter Park. The remains were brought to Franklin Wednesday for burial.

Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Certificate and Record of Death, Kosciusko County, Indiana, Health Officer’s record Number 8, page 422 records that Mary Storey Vawter died from endocarditis of 30 days duration caused by a gastric ulcer of 65 days’ duration at about 10 o’clock p. m. on 4 Mar 1900 at her residence in Vawter Park, Turkey Creek Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana, aged sixty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-eight days. She was female, white, married and a housewife. Her father’s name was J. F. Storey and her mother’s maiden name Jane Vawter, both born in Jennings County, Indiana. She was buried in Franklin, Indiana on 8 Mar 1900, Geo. Darr & Sons, undertaker.
