OBITUARY.

Ida Ruth Vawter, daughter of John and Catherine Vawter, was born May 1, 1858, and died Aug. 25, 1897, aged 39 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was a member of the M. E. church, having confessed her Savior during the labors of the Rev. Jesse Miller. She was a devout and untiring Christian, firm in the faith, continually laboring for the cause of Christ, a friend to all, and for her loving deeds no one knew her but to love her. During the last two years, two vacancies have been caused to this bereft family. Mother Vawter, while in the midst of health, was instantly taken away, and now our dearly beloved has also been called to meet with her loved ones who have gone before.

In this family there were six children, two have died and four remain to mourn the loss of their dearly beloved sister.
