Coroner J. T. Jones was called to Edinburg Sunday morning to hold an inquest on the body of Nancy Vanhorn, colored, who died suddenly that mor­ning while sitting at the breakfast table. Deceased was a resident of Indianapolis and at the time of her death was visi­ting relatives. See coroner’s verdict in another column.

The undersigned coroner of Johnson county, Indiana, did on the 3d day of May 1896, hold an inquest on the body of Nancy Vanhorn, late of Indianapolis, Marion county, Indiana, found dead near Edinburg, Johnson county, Indiana on the 3rd day of May 1896.

Having viewed the body and heard the testimony of witnesses, I find that the deceased came to her death by reason of paralysis of the heart.

Deceased was about 45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high, weight 150 pounds, color black. No valuables found on body.
