The funeral of Joseph Vandivier occurred at First Mount Pleasant church last Saturday afternoon, Rev. John Miller conducting the services. His death occurred two days previous at his home west of this city. Mr. Vandivier had been in feeble health for some time and his death was not unexpected. For a year he lived in this city, moving to his old home in the country but a few months ago. Deceased was highly respected and his death will be mourned by the friends who best knew his good qualities. He was well advanced in years being seventy-two years of age. Seven children survive him.
