Byron, the thirteen-year-old son of Edgil Vandigriff [sic], died yesterday morning of diphtheria at his home in West Franklin. He had been sick for several days but it was thought had about recovered until the day before his death when was taken suddenly worse. He was an only son and a bright and loveable boy, the pride and joy of his devoted parents. The funeral will take place this morning at nine o’clock.
