o’clock at the Johnson County Home where he had been living for the past eight years. Mr. Traub had been sick since April, 1928.

One daughter, a resident of Indianapolis, is the only survivig [sic] member of his family.

No funeral arrangements have been made but the services will probably be held from the Flinn & Henderson funeral parlors.

Mr. Traub was born in Germany and came to this country when a young man. During his residence in Franklin he had been a worker in the city street department, keeping that position through different administrations because of his faithfulness to the task at hand. He was thrifty and a hard worker but in later life is understood to have gotten rid of his money in an effort to help some of his relatives who had experienced trouble.

Mr. Traub was a fluent German conversationalist and many students of German at Franklin college delighted to talk with him. He always seemed to enjoy conversing with them also. At one time, John Medsker, a well known Franklin colored man, was also a member of the city street department and he also was a fluent speaker of German and it was no unusual experience to pass the street squad and hear arguments carried on in pure German.

Mr. Traub was twice married. Both of his wives preceded him in death.
