Uncle Newt Tracy died last Tuesday about noon. After a short service the remains were taken to the Hurricane cemetery for burial. A large number of relatives and friends mourn his loss.

The Johnson County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882-1920 records on page 209, referencing Book H-18, page 23, that Nuton [sic] B. Tracy, a sixty-eight-year-old white male, died on 12 May 1896 in Whiteland.
