Mrs. Frances Thompson died last Friday of heart failure, after an illness of several months, leaving an only daughter, Miss Jennie Thompson, and one sister, Mrs. I. J. Armstrong of this city. The funeral was held at her late residence on North Water Street. Her remains were taken to Indianapolis for burial at Crown Hill cemetery Monday.

Note: The 1900 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana records Sirrilda [sic] F. Thompson as a sixty-six-year-old head of household. Her birthdate is recorded as Jan 1834. Her daughter thirty-nine-year-old daughter Jennie B Thompson, is a school teacher, born July 1860.
